About Me! (M_Equestrian)
Hey! I'm M_Equestrian! I've been riding for about 8 years now, and I've ridden hunter jumpers for about 6 and a half of those years. I started eventing last year with my (then) lease pony Cyrus. This year, I’m leasing Brooks a 15-year-old Morgan-Quarter horse cross who actually just started training about a year ago. I started my lease with him in December of last year, on a one-year training lease, so I have just over two months left with him. Cyrus, the Welsh pony I leased last year, was the same type of lease, a one-year training lease. He is now 8 years old. I started my lease with him as a crazy 6-year-old who liked to take off bucking. Cyrus and I instantly clicked, and we had an amazing year together. I've ridden him a bit this year when Brooks wasn't quite yet ready for things, but he has a new leaser this year.
I’ve competed in two semi-events so far: a team event with my sister and friend, where I did cross country with Cyrus, and we came in second, and a CT with Brooks, where I also placed second.
I have another event coming up mid-October, and it will be my first full event. I'm really excited! I get to take Brooks, and we are competing at the green as grass level.
My goal is to be an Olympic level event rider and I also want to compete at the 5* level. I hope to be one of the best in the world! My all-time favorite rider is Boyd Martin, and my favorite of his horses is Bruno.
I started this blog because I enjoy doing my personal blog and wanted to share it with my best friends! this blog has me (M_Equestrian) my bestfriend (O_Eq) and my sister (L_Hunters+Jumpers) so we can all share stories together!
I’m planning on posting things like show stories, lesson activities, and just my equestrian life of trying to get to the top! My next posts will probably be so you can learn a little bit more about Brooks and Cyrus individually, as I have quite a few of stories with them both. Feel free to go check out my personal blog at https://mequestrian.blogspot.com/ to see my other stories!
