Lesson recap (M_Equestrian)

Today me and Sindri had our lesson, we worked on trot poles, gridwork, and some jumping.

We walked around going over some poles and going both way before we started trotting. We started with a lap of sitting trot and then moving into posting trot. We cantered both ways, right lead first, and he picked his lead up on the first try! We worked a lot on bending to the inside while we cantered.

After we were warmed up we started by going over the outside line with three trot poles and then trotting over a single pole with jump stands on the sides.
We did the same thing with an 18'' vertical after the trot poles letting him trot out before coming back through and cantering out.

We came through the outside judges line next just trotting through it first, and then adding in a jump the next time around.

He jumped the vertical really well so she moved it to a big cross rail to try and get him to jump more off his haunches.

She said she still wanted him to jump more off his haunches so she added a back rail to help and i was definitely caught off guard a bit by how big he jumped it.

Overall the lesson was really good and really worked on the areas we both need improvement in. The trot in canter out jumps will definitely be helpful now and in the future because it helps us settle before the jumps, and the gridwork got his brain thinking so he didn't get bored.
